Kaimera has partnered with Albany Park Theater Project (APTP), a renowned arts organization with a 25-year history of empowering local youth and communities through performance, to produce a Chicago version of our SPACES project. Simón and Lauren traveled to Chicago in June 2025 to begin the process. Their days were filled with creative meetings with their staff and youth, exchanges with the local community members, opportunities to learn about the Albany Park neighborhood that the show will focus on, and planning sessions in order to create a solid foundation for the project. We can't wait to continue this collaboration with this incredible organization, and to bring our SPACES project to Chicago in the summer of 2027!
